About us
The Montana Paranormal Research Society is located in beautiful Billings, Montana. Billings is the largest city in Montana and was founded by Frederick Billings of the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1877. In 1882 Billings was incorporated into the Montana Territory near the town of Coulson. Billings earned the nick name of the “Magic City” due to its nearly overnight growth. By the end of 1883 Billings had grown to have over 400 buildings and 1,500 people.
The two main streets that were constructed along the railroad tracks are Montana, and Minnesota avenues. To this day you can still see original buildings as well as some of the past as you walk the streets. This area of billings is one of the most active in paranormal occurrences.
One of the many projects the MTPRS is involved with is the sorting and maintaining of famous Montana haunts. We have started the Billings area paranormal register. While we maintain a list of alleged haunted locations in Billings we have not personally investigated all of them. If you or someone you know owns, manages, or lives at one of these places and would like a investigation please contact us.
