Raising Our Spirits 2011

on Sun, 10/30/2011 - 14:42

Last night I had the privilege of volunteering with the investigators of the Montana Paranormal Research Society at the annual "Raising Our Spirits" fundraiser, hosted by and for the Western Heritage Center.  Although I am familiar with ghost-hunting and have seen enough episodes of Ghost Adventures to understand the equipment and tactics, this was my first time peeking into a real-life investigation.  First and foremost, I must say that the people of both MTPRS and the WHC were very kind and generous souls to allow me to participate, observe and help wherever I could.  Many thanks!

Spiders, Snakes and ghosts Oh My.

Did a residential case outside of Pryor MT. Very interesting case had a number of personnel experiences. During the time of the original homestead a young girl was tragically killed by her brother in a shooting accident. There are many graves in the hills surrounding the property, and there is a report of some of the graves being robbed. Not to mention all the spiders hiding in every corner of the residencs, and a lot of snake holes around the property. You just never know what you will run across during an investigation. Somtimes the normal is more scarey than the paranormal.

Kurt goes to Jail

As you may know. The last investigation we did at the Old Yellowstone County Jail we filmed a little promo. We would like to thank everyone that helped us out. The Yellowstone Couny Sherrifs Office, Yellowstone County Commisoners, and of course Kurt. Well if you have a few moments check out the video. It was fun to shoot and it was a bit of a last minute thing.

Look back at 2010

on Thu, 06/23/2011 - 07:52

For us in the Montana Paranormal Research Society, this was a majorly huge year. We had ups, downs, turnaroundsand spooks galore. We lost our original Tech Manager, Micha Burnham, due to personal life related issues. But we still wish him luck in all endeavors and still consider him a friend. But with him gone, investigator Kurt Rodda showed that he was the man for the job. Having a tech background,as well as a scientific background in physics, Kurt was a perfect match for our Tech. Department.
